By default, MS Excel creates a column chart for the data selected in the worksheet. We can change the default chart type to any other type, relevant to the selected data.
To change the chart type
Select the chart and right click anywhere in the chart area.
Click the chart type option on the shortcut menu.
Sleect the required chart type and sub type from the Chart Type list box.
